Loaves and Fishes

First Church members have been actively involved with Loaves and Fishes for many years. Three teams from our church take turns making and serving lunch on the second Thursday of the month at the soup kitchen located at Immanuel Congregational Church in Hartford, CT. A secondary team makes homemade cookies. Each person's commitment is only four Thursdays per year, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This small amount of time from individuals makes a BIG difference to those who benefit from the work of Loaves and Fishes.
