El Salvador
First Church, in collaboration with Centre Congregational Church in Brattleboro, VT, and the Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ, has a sister parish relationship with a small Lutheran church, Cristo Redentor, in Cabanitas, Apopa, El Salvador. We provide scholarships for children's education, fund programs for Cristo Redentor, and forge personal connections. Mission trips to El Salvador are a highlight of the ministry.
The El Salvador Ministry Team took an Immersion Trip to El Salvador on February 16 - 23, 2008. We spent time with our sister parish friends, and tour San Salvador and other regions of the country.
